Training & Development Opportunities


Overview:

Family Behavioral Resources offers an extensive training program available to internal employees as well as families and professionals in the community setting.  


Goals:

  • To increase participants’ awareness, understanding, and ability to apply a variety of concepts specific to mental health and behavioral intervention
  • To improve understanding, acceptance, treatment and overall quality of care of individuals and consumers supported by Family Behavioral Resources and other stakeholders


Program Highlights:

  • Trainings are developed and presented by a team of highly educated and experienced professionals including Board Certified Behavior Analysts  
  • Extensive training catalog complete with a broad range of topics including:
    • Applied Behavior Analysis
    • Behavior Management Strategies
    • Functional Behavior Assessment
    • Crisis Management
    • Ethics and Professional Boundaries
    • Mental Health Diagnoses
    • Autism
    • Trauma Informed Care
  • Trainings are evidenced based and rooted in current research and literature
  • Multiple trainings approved through the Board of Medicine as applicable towards Behavior Specialist License credit hours
  • Continuing Education Credits available per request or need

Design:

  • Extensive training catalog available
  • Trainings can be modified and adapted to meet specific needs of the target audience
  • Target audiences include behavioral health service providers, teachers and paraprofessionals, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors, daycare professionals, and other community organizations
  • Training format includes a combination of lecture and experiential activities, allowing participants to apply skills and concepts introduced  
  • Trainings can be offered both live or remotely across Pennsylvania and parts of Ohio and West Virginia
